Introductory Special Price! This heat shielding gasket goes between the intake manifold and the cylinder head, reducing heat transfer between the head and the intake plenum. They are used on many high performance import cars with much success, so we thought the 2JZ-GE guys should have access to them too! This gasket is also reusuable! This gasket does fit 1998 VVTi 2JZ-GE engines, just trim off the EGR portion of the gasket with a razor blade. (Only one needed per engine, this replaces the factory gasket between the head and the lower plenum. For the non-turbo 2JZ cylinder head.) Typical results with a heat shielding gasket would be a 17-20 degree (F) drop in intake plenum temp, and a 8-10 degree (F)drop in intake air temp.
